Getting more from the potato

When the potato first arrived in Europe, people enjoyed the aesthetic flowers and berries. Only later did people develop a taste for the tubers. In the BioSC Seed project, our focus is once again on the other parts of the plant, because they contain valuable alkaloids that can be valuable for crop protection or as active ingredients. Colleagues from IBG-4 (FZJ), IBOC (HHU), and INRES (University of Bonn) are working hand in hand on the ToxPot project, which has now been launched.
